Ingredients


1 can pineapple rings (or fresh)

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup unsalted butter

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¾ cup sugar

½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup milk



Instructions


Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

Melt ¼ cup butter in a 9-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly. Arrange pineapple rings on top.

Cream butter and sugar for batter, add eggs and vanilla.

Mix flour, baking powder, salt; add alternately with milk.

Pour batter over pineapple layer. Bake 35–40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, invert onto a plate.
